We stayed on the south rim of the Black Canyon that night and fished the east portal. The wind would not give up so it was hard to keep the line in the water. The next day we drove to conservation area and hiked down Duncan trail and were on the water by noon. The best part of the trip was being 100 feet from the water and falling asleep to the sound of it. The salmonflies were everywhere and although the trout were not rising steadily I was still able to get a couple with a dry pattern. 
You are only allowed to stay for two days in the conservation area and it rained and hailed on us on the hike out. It was a great trip and we were already planning next years trip on the hike out. Here are some of my other favorite fishing pics.
