Loveland Fly Shops1. Elkhorn Fly Rod and Reel
The first of the Loveland fly shops is:
Location: 3121 W. Eisenhower Blvd Store hours: Winter Summer Brian has the biggest of the Loveland fly shops which is located on Highway 34, on the way to the river. With lots of rods in stock and a sale rack, his shop is well worth the stop. Brian now offers guided trips and will have classes and clinics in the future. Check the calender for dates and times.
2. Bob's Fly Tying SpecialtiesLocation: 406 South Lincoln Avenue Mon - Fri: 10am - 6pm Bob has a small shop right in front of some storage units just south of the Loveland design center. The best way to get there from the river is to take Highway 287 south until the two one ways merge into one. He is on the one way running north. Bob has some great local patterns, offers customer rod building and some very knowledgeable tyers.
3. Jax Outdoor Gear - Ranch and HomeLocation: 950 East Eisenhower Boulevard Store hours: M-F: 8am - 8pm Jax is similar to an REI with camping, climbing and fishing gear. They have a large selection of tying materials but not as many rods or flies. They are right next to Home Depot and Sams Club on the south side of the street.
4. Sportsman's WarehouseLocation: 1675 Rocky Mountain Avenue Store Hours: M-F: 9am - 9pm Sportsman Warehouse is a full outdoor store. They have lots of everything including rods, reels and tying materials. Sportsman's has a good fly selection and the staff is fairly knowledgeable. Check the board on the right when first walk in the door for local fishing reports.
